However, the ancients treated stroke as an external wind evil, so postpartum spasms and opisthotonos were treated in Qianjin and Wai Tai with prescriptions such as Doulingjiu, which were mainly used to release the wind. After all, postpartum spasms and metal wounds and tetanus are both caused by sudden cold wind, which are suitable for relieving the symptoms. It should be known that both are caused by blood loss, yin cannot contain yang, liver wind is agitated, and spasms occur, especially in most cases. In this case, it is appropriate to suppress yang and calm the wind. Do not use wind-clearing drugs to help the violent. The word "internal spasm" in "Bielu" must not be tried with Fangfeng, which is pungent and warm and dispersing. Fangfeng is the main medicine for wind diseases. The main medicine in Ben Jing is all wind gate syndrome, so it is praised with the phrase "big wind", which can drive away external wind and relieve numbness and restore health. Its effect is the most extensive. Ben Jing lists it as a top-grade medicine, and it is highly regarded because it is able to handle the major tasks. It is not without reason. Later generations only think that it can be used to treat colds and wind-colds, and it is too superficial. Fangfeng is the best medicine for dispelling wind, but it can be successful in dispersing and dispersing, and the person must have sufficient qi and blood, a solid constitution, and be suddenly attacked by external evil, so he can use this pungent and warm medicine to dispel wind without any side effects. The ancients' prescriptions for treating wind cannot be used lightly in people in the southeast today, because their constitution is fragile and thin, and they cannot overcome this dry and fierce nature. Although Fangfeng is not as strong as Wu, Fu, Jiang and Xin, its warm and dry aroma that hits people's eyebrows makes it a warm and pungent herb. Therefore, when warm and hot wind evil is received from outside, one should be cautious when using Chaihu, Ge, Qiang and Fangfeng.
