For example, in Ben Jing, it is recorded that the main treatment for cough and reverse cough is that wind and cold are dependent on the fluid in the chest; for headache and brain movement, wind and cold are dependent on the marrow in the brain; for cramps in all joints, wind and cold are dependent on the fluid in the joints; for rheumatism, arthralgia and dead muscles, wind and cold are dependent on the body fluid in the muscles. By extension, there are body fluids everywhere, and wind and cold can attach to any place where there are body fluids. Therefore, in the chest, it is phlegm and stagnation, in the throat, it is arthralgia, in the breast, it is knot, in the nose, it is nausea, in the heart, it is epilepsy, in the small intestine, it is water, in the qi, it is the inability to sweat, and in the blood, it is the inability to bleed. This is the consistent statement between "Bie Lu" and "Ben Jing"."
 "Compendium of Materia Medica" states: "Asarum has the strongest fragrance, so it is good at opening qi stagnation, relieving depression, and can reach the top of the head, clear the ears and eyes, and reach all the bones and bones. It is thorough, and it can open the collaterals and dredge all the joints inside, and go through the orifices outside and penetrate the skin. ... Zhen Quanwei treats cough and removes rheumatism and rheumatism ("rhea" is quoted as "itching" in "Zhenghe Bencao"), which is also the old "Benjing". It also treats wind and tears, which is the tearing in the face of wind when the clear yang does not rise. Hongjing said that if it is used to remove bad breath, the fragrance can indeed ward off filth, but the bad breath is mostly caused by ignition. Haizangwei moisturizes the liver and treats the disease of the Governor Vessel, and the spine is stiff and bent. According to: The Governor Vessel is diseased, purely due to the decline of essence and blood , the collateral vessels are not nourished, resulting in the spine being stiff and bent, which is called liver dryness, which is understandable, but the innate kidney yin is almost exhausted, and it is difficult to achieve quick results by replenishing the liver and kidney true yin. Asarum is pungent and warm, and a little bit of it can lead the meridians to circulate the yang qi, which is acceptable, but the word "pungent" is used to moisten the liver dryness, and it is regarded as the main medicine for this disease. What is the harm, scholars should know it for themselves. Shi Wan said that pungent and warm can disperse, and it is used for all diseases such as wind-cold and rheumatism, headaches, mouth sores, and throat paralysis and hidden teeth. It can disperse superficial heat and also means that fire is released. Note: The so-called fire is that there is fire stagnation inside and the cold outside binds it, which cannot be released. Therefore, the yang is raised to disperse the fire, and the stagnation can be released, and the external evil is resolved. If the original qi and fire are floating, and it is mistakenly given warm and dispersing medicine, it will teach the monkey to raise wood, which is even more harmful. "
